- FIGHTER: Beat the odds of an absent father, a mother battling addiction, and homelessness to become a Licensed Vocational Nurse at Kaiser Permanente
- COMMUNITY LEADER: Serves as a board member for a local nonprofit that supports children in and at-risk of foster care
- LABOR LEADER: A union member and active member of our Central Labor Council who fights for fair contracts and patient care
- Worked alongside a coalition of health care unions to win a historic contract from Kaiser Permanente
- Created better futures for young women by creating the Greater Empire Pageants and partnering with Just Us 4 You and the Young Women’s Empowerment Summit.
