- LEADER: Earned a reputation as a collaborative leader focused on the city’s quality of life and economic vitality
- Led a statewide campaign that secured $97 million to increase college access and affordability for all California students
- Worked with state legislators and secured $25 million in state funding to build Alhambra’s first-ever community center
